Family Beach Trip 2011

Grandma said the only thing she wanted for her 50th wedding anniversary was a house at the beach for a week with her family. Before our beloved Bob passed away he book a lovely old house in Garden City Beach, South Carolina. It took a little persauding on Dan and Emily's part to get him to do it, but after seeing the beautiful creek and easy beach access he said yes. Unfortunately he wasn't there to enjoy it with his children and grandchildren, but he was missed and definitely not forgotten during our wonderful fun-filled week at the beach. With 2 vans, 1 small SUV and a boat full of stuff, we headed 2 hours away for our first vacation in a year. Our week was wonderful and full of fun memories and I know Grandma had to be a happy camper with her 2 children and spouses and 6 grandchildren in tow...of course more happy about the grandchildren than us!! Even though it rained for the first 2 days we still managed to get in a lot of beach and creek fun...here's our week in a nutshell.......
